Delacreme Scholars

Proceeds from Play Together Collaboration #2 were contributed to Delacreme Scholars to fund necessary scholarships for creative arts students of color who require mid-semester assistance to continue their studies.

Delacreme Scholars was created in 2018 by rapper femdot., initially as a scholarship to help Black and Brown college students at DePaul University in Chicago (his alma mater). Delacreme Scholars’ principals are service, support and sacrifice. They focus on providing service for the communities we are apart of, support to those who need it and we sacrifice our time to become a resource for others.

The Collaborators

Considered “Chicago’s New Rap Sensation” by Nylon Magazine and with cosigns from publications such as XXL, Fake Shore Drive, Pigeons and Planes, Lyrical Lemonade, Billboard, and DJ Booth to name a few, femdot. is on the radar as the next Chicago breakout star. With a new degree and new project on the horizon, the future is limitless for the young talent.

The emcee, who dropped his critically acclaimed Delacreme 2 album just days before graduating from college, has been relentlessly building a core following and gaining a magnitude of traction along the way. His efforts have not gone unnoticed, after releasing one of Chicago Tribune’s top 10 albums of 2018, he continued his progression by performing at hometown festivals such as Lollapalooza and Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash.

Liz Flores

Flores was selected by femdot. and his team from a list of potential artists for her colorful, minimalist and humanistic artwork to bring the two singles being released by femdot. as a part of the collaboration to life. Flores showcases the shared complexities of being human, the female form and the importance of connection and community.

Flores’ mural work can be found throughout the Chicagoland Area and New York City. In addition to working with private and commercial clients like Lululemon and Sephora, she has shared her story on the TEDx stage and brought an interactive art installation titled ‘The World We Want’ to Chicago's Michigan Avenue.
